How to Create a Social Media Toolkit to Amplify Your News

Nowadays, the audience you’re trying to reach these days is fragmented. And the news hole in your local newspaper is probably a lot smaller than it used to be. At the same time, you actually have the opportunity to reach more people by amplifying your message through traditional means and another channel — your network of supporters. No matter your size or your focus, you likely have access to distribution channels that you might not have dreamed of a decade ago. Almost all of your board members, donors, and volunteers has their own broadcast network through their social networks. And if you can give them the tools they need, they can essentially become reporters — helping to relay your message to hundreds of Facebook friends, Twiiter followers, LinkedIn connections, and Instagram fans.

You'll learn to:

  • Leverage your supporters to spread the word and fundraise on your behalf
  • Use visuals to enhance your nonprofit's stories
  • Incorporate data into storytelling
  • Create job descriptions to use when recruiting storytelling ambassadors
  • Craft powerful calls to action at the end of each story
  • Employ free tools to identify and nurture potential brand ambassadors
  • Keep storytelling ambassadors motivated and engaged
  • Measure your results to ensure ROI (Return on Investment)
  • And more...
